Sunset, Where Everything Ends
Plucked out of my day, almost emotionally exhausted, I followed your lead. On a rock by a cliff, you offered life unfolding. Seagulls misbehaving, paddlers moved in rhythm, a seaplane escaping, the sky remained blue, the clouds float across, you hid behind them, and yet your presence made known, slowly fading, you left an ever-changing canvas of oranges, and golds. You were magnificently majestic!
A productive day behind me, I came out to greet you. I sit still in quiet surrender. Admiring, appreciating, celebrating what you now offer. I tell myself, this is the moment where I am at the perfect place at the perfect time. Disconnected from everything around me, I feel so connected to you. Like my soul is being sucked into your gift. I watched you by as you drift slowly consumed by the evening sky.
Another day, another chance to say thanks to life…
